Reopened under new management on Friday 30th June 2023, after being closed for three months.
Built around 1650 as a beer shop, the Red Lion is a small, three-roomed free house. The downstairs is decorated in a contemporary style. The main bar area is stone-flagged and is warmed by a glowing multi-fuel stove in a huge fireplace. The snug to the right of the entrance has wooden flooring and a hatch to the bar. The upstairs games room (stairs to the left of the fireplace) has settees, a pool table and dartboard. There is a small outdoor drinking/smoking area in the courtyard to the side of the pub and a beer garden at the rear via some steps. Plans in future for live music - check the pub's Facebook page for details.
This Pub serves 3 changing beers and 1 regular beer.
