Friendly end-terrace local, originally (18th-century) three cottages, but converted into a pub in the early 19th-century (earliest pub record is 1827). Some signage still indicates previous Gibbs Mew ownership.
A basic public bar and small cosy lounge lie on opposite sides of a central serving area, and there is a separate small room with pool table across corridor to rear. Food currently limited to filled cobs. Linton FC is based here.
Now the only pub left in the village, a new licensee is reviving its fortunes, and there are plans to introduce musical entertainment, guest beers and meals later in 2016.
