Lively and welcoming terraced pub dating from 1845, it originally brewed its own ales until 1923, with information about its interesting history displayed upon the walls.
The large and comfortable lounge bar is served with four beers including from Banks's, and Wye Valley.
Crib, darts and the quiz on Tuesdays add to the comfortable atmosphere. On Saturday evenings there is live music in various styles.
Cobs are available all day and to the rear is a pleasant and quiet flower garden.
Level access from the left hand side alley; from the front door one step into the bar and lounge (no adapted WCs).
