This thriving community pub, across the road from Walmgate Bar, is home to locals, students and beer devotees. A wide and changing range and styles of very reasonably priced ales, including from onsite brewery and LocAles are served. Six cask lines, 20 key keg taps and three real ciders cater for all tastes plus a good range of food cooked to order. Along with a Thursday night quiz and other events this was the CAMRA branch Pub of the Year in 2018. Pay a visit and you will see why.
