The Ship Inn was renamed from the New Inn in the 1980s. Its woody interior is divided into a cosy dining area and a larger bar area, and features bare floorboards, a fine old bar, and a gantry. A good range of pub food. En-suite accommodation is provided in three twin/double rooms and one family room. In the nearby church of St. Mary the Virgin is a memorial to James Alexander, the last man to be killed in a duel in England. Bus stops immediately outside have no useful service, use stops in Salisbury Street.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 1 regular beer.
