A notable and Impressive Art Deco style pub, by B E Bailey and E Eberlin for Home Brewery of Nottingham. Built in 1934 to replace a much earlier pub (ca.1830s) across the road which had been owned by Soames Brewery of Spalding. Steel frame and concrete, with flat roof and exterior design resembling a ship. Grade 2 listed.
