The oldest part of this ancient and Grade ll listed inn, which is located at the centre of the village, was a 16th century blacksmith's shop. It later expanded into the adjacent Priestley Hall, a Georgian house of 1724. The traditionally furnished drinking and dining areas are on two levels and there is a separate games room.
