Pleasant comfortable village pub with a good reputation for its food. Within the L-shaped interior, the larger section is split-level and largely devoted to dining. It is partly partitioned by a wall containing a fish tank and features an impressive brick fireplace and walls which are partly open brickwork, partly mock beams and plaster. The smaller area to the right of the entrance is more for drinkers. The name of the pub derives from stonemasons' marks found when the building was converted to a pub in the early 19th century and not from the usual Freemasonry symbols.
