Friendly local with a single L shaped bar. Black woodwork and beams and white walls give it a comfortable village feel. Situated opposite the gates of the former Waterbeach barracks, home to the Royal Engineers until 2013. The military link is continued by framed posters of regimental colours, badges and medals. Although there is now a brewery (Milton) nearby again, the name refers to James Froment's brewery, which closed in the early 20th century.

The Brewery Tap closed at early December 2023. Following a refurbishment it reopened, under new licensees, as The Taps on 15 June 2024.
