This ex-hairdresser's has a low ceiling and is quite dark giving it a cosy feel, although it can become a bit of a squash when it is busy. The name comes from the Victorian Tuppenny gin which was a more refined premium product than the infamous “Mother’s ruin” gin.
The emphasis is on craft drinks with a range of keg craft from the likes of Renegade, Electric Bear and others. There are two handpumps on the bar serving real ales from a range of breweries, but regularly featuring Hobson's. A regular live music venue.
Open from 10am Tuesday to Friday, but alcohol is only served from 12 noon.
Historic Interest
Opened in November 2016 in premises formally used as a hairdressers.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 1 regular beer.
