Refurbished to a high standard and opened 6 September 2024 as the Yorkshireman. Four hand pumps adorn the wooden bar with two regular and two changing beers. The upstairs area boasts exposed beams and offers a pleasant seating area for local groups to meet. The main bar area is comprised of one room with wooden tables, bench seating and standard chairs plus a standing table. All products on offer are sourced locally. The keg products are from Cold Bath Brewing in Harrogate and includes an alcohol free lager. Galtres Cider from Orchards of Husthwaite, is available. Dog-friendly with treats on the bar. The building is air-conditioned. Note, the toilet facilities are upstairs.

Judging for the competition takes around a year, starting with individual nominations from CAMRA members and tasting panel nominations, leading to a series of rigorous regional heats adhering to a strict blind tasting policy.
