Bustling, community local situated on the southern edge of the village, home to traditional pub games teams and a base for several local sports teams.
Customers in the public bar and the linked two-section lounge are served from a central sunken bar, its floor being below the level of the rest of the ground floor. A separate conservatory (access from public bar) overlooks the garden.
Beers are available on hand-pump or by gravity, direct from the cask, on request. Food limited to filled rolls at weekends. Walkers and cyclists welcome.

Historic Interest
Believed to have been a farmhouse originally, parts of the building are thought to date back to the 16th-century. However, the pub may only have existed since the mid-1800s, but there is some uncertainty about this.
