This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.
Non-members are welcome and can sign in at the bar/door, but regular visitors are encouraged to join (individuals £10/year, families £15/year).
Village social club dating back to 1886 when founded by the Bass family for workers on their Rangemore Estate, but now independent and operated through a trust.
The front entrance leads directly into the large, comfortable lounge bar with a high ceiling, where most of the action takes place. There is a separate billiard/snooker room; the snooker table is described as ‘antique’ and is believed to have been used by Edward VII during a visit to the Rangemore Estate in 1907.
Occasional quiz nights; occasional live music (usually in summer - see website for details). Catering available for private parties/functions. Walkers welcome.
St. George’s Park, the England FA’s National Football Centre, is located nearby.
This Club serves 2 changing beers and 0 regular beers.
