The Slaters Arms has been a public house for over 150 years. Two-roomed local situated at the eastern end of village, half a mile from the Leeds-Liverpool canal. The large outdoor area has extensive views of the Aire Valley. The main 'horse brass and wooden beam' style lounge has an open fireplace and real fire. Separate cosy back room. Well-behaved children are permitted early doors or if eating. Good value food is available - booking is advisable at weekends and in summer. Phone to reserve a table. A Timothy Taylor Champion Club member. Look out for the Barnsley Brewery Oakwell Ales sign (which did not originate here) in the garden.
