This 200-year-old building has spent much of its previous life as a school. It was in a rather sorry state when the current owners took it on and completely renovated it, opening it as a smart boutique hotel around 2007. The modern bar servery is conveniently placed adjacent to reception, where you can enjoy a pint seated on one of the comfortable bar stools. To the right of this is the main Restaurant area, which leads into an airy conservatory-style room overlooking the very attractive new spa building. This latter, recently added attraction, allows visitors (for a charge, obviously), to even enjoy a pint while relaxing in a Hot Tub! Another room, to the left of reception, is the Bistro with comfy seating. Opens for breakfast, but alcohol is only served from noon.
The single real ale may change from Ludlow Best to a Hobson's beer.
The bar may close early subject to demand.
