Welcoming 17th-century coaching inn constructed from local stone; on entering you are warmed by a log fire in the inglenook fireplace. The bar area has a flagstone floor and traditional furnishing; on the bar itself are three handpumps serving regularly changing ales from the Punch Finest Cask range (in winter not all pumps may be in use) plus a real cider when demand permits. There is a small snug beyond the bar. To the rear of the pub is a more contemporary dining room, constructed in what was once a skittle alley, and serving a regularly changing menu, which is locally sourced.
There is an attractive enclosed patio area to the front.
It is an ideal place to end a walk, with both children and dogs welcome.
This Pub serves 3 changing beers and 1 regular beer.
Horse & Groom, Milcombe
fewer in winter
Changing beers typically include: Black Sheep (varies) , Brakspear - Gravity
