No Real Ale. Large corner pub first built in 1851 and named as the "Flying Dutchman" after the Derby winner of 1849. Its most celebrated landlord was Charles Gyde who was the landlord from 1890 until his death in 1932. The pub had many names during the 1970s and 1980s.
