The interior comprises a single large room with a bar area at the Groby Road end around the counter; the rear part is for dining. Food is available all day, and the pub is open early for breakfasts. At the front is a large decked patio shaded by a massive lime tree. There is a Premier Inn adjacent with hotel accommodation. Note that although the official address is Groby Road, vehicle access to the premises is via Heathley Park Drive, but there is a pedestrian access direct from Groby Road.
Historic Interest
Opened by Scottish & Newcastle in 2000. A conversion of a former hospital lodge, but much extended. Later sold to Spirit, then to Greene King.
