The Ship Inn is a real asset to its local community. It can be found on the main road through the village, which is a much quieter road since the by-pass opened many years ago. The regular Winchester-Alton buses stop outside. It is located close to the Watercress Line preserved steam railway. The bar is on two levels and there is a separate dining / family / pub games area. Home-cooked food is served lunchtimes and evenings with afternoon snacks Friday - Sunday.
