This is an attractive partly Grade 11-listed two bar pub. In the 1920s it was owned by Nicholl & Co Ltd of Colchester, which could brew 300 barrels a day, but they ceased brewing by 1925. There are garden areas to the front and rear. There is a function room, with several dart boards. Pool. A small food menu caters for the hungry lunchtimes and evenings. Well-behaved children and dogs welcome. Satellite TV.
