Set in a steep valley on the edge of moorland, this old and little-changed pub has a cosy atmosphere enhanced by panelling rescued from a nearby castle on its demolition. The bar lounge area has an open fire, the side lounge displays local pictures. The pub and its split-level beer garden face down the attractive Luddenden Valley.
