Situated on a busy street corner, a staircase leads up to a comfortable split level pub with a range of historical Edinburgh prints along with artefacts relating to Sherlock Holmes and his creator Conan Doyle who was born close by. The lower level offers views over to the Playhouse and the statue of Conan Doyle at the top of Leith Walk. It is used mainly for those dining, with meals being served from the Nicholson’s menu. 25p a pint discount for Nicholson's hop circle members.
