After being closed for several years, the Crown was bought and thoroughly refurbished by the community, and was reopened in May 2019 as a Community Pub. It was previously a Wadworth pub. The current licensee has been in situ since July 2020 and has placed emphasis on local ales, including a collaboration with Amwell Springs for a regular house beer. The most common of the changing beers are from North Cotswold, Plain, XT and Loddon. Food is sourced from fresh local produce and the menu refreshed regularly to reflect this. There is a Hot drinks loyalty card. Huge double-sided wood burner in the centre of the bar area for winter warmth and an outdoor patio space that was refurbished in late winter 2023 for summer sundowners.
