The knocked-through interior of this community-owned pub provides a number of separate areas, featuring two wood-burning stoves. A spacious separate restaurant opens onto the decked terraced beer garden. The slightly altered new name distinguishes the pub from the Green Dragon in nearby Bedale. Numerous village activities include the folk club, book club, gardening club, a weekly coffee morning and the monthly women's group (aka the Dragons). A popular beer and cider festival is held on the August bank holiday weekend. Opening times vary according to season. Sells Real Cider. Cask ales sold at reduced price on Tuesday evenings.
