A pub for over 20 years, this former bank was acquired by Camerons Brewery in 2015 and after extensive refurbishment re-opened as part of the Head of Steam chain in April 2016. Behind the imposing frontage the large single room is served by a central island bar, with a separate seating area at the rear leading on to an outside drinking area in Tudor Square. In addition to the brewer's own beers, the hand pumps usually dispense beers from independent breweries in Yorkshire and the North East. Also offered are a good variety of craft beers in keg, bottles and cans.
