Situated on the Two Moors Way and dating from the sixteenth century when it was a coach house, The Mitre is now a Grade Two listed building. Two ales from Exmoor brewery are always available, while the third is invariably from a local brewery as well. The bar, with large open fire in winter, leads through to a cosy lounge area, while there is also an attractive separate restaurant . The pub has a good reputation for food, which is served from early evening until 9.30 Mon-Sat and 9.00 pm on Sundays. Bed and breakfast accommodation is available all year round, with four of the six rooms en-suite.
