This 16th-Century inn sits in the centre of the village at the top of the hill. The large bar area has numerous little alcovs and seating areas with tables, some set for diners, although there is a seperate dining area to the rear. Two real ales are generally available along with a range of bottled beers and ciders Recently redecorated and the walls are adorned with old tin/steel plate signs advertising various items from dog biscuits to motor oils. Good-quality home-cooked food is served lunchtimes and evenings, including traditional roast on Sundays.
