To get to the Mytton Arms, there is no alternative other than negotiating the narrow lanes of South Shropshire. Nevertheless, it is worth seeking out this well used village pub that was rescued from the brink of oblivion. Its three low beamed rooms are cosy, comfortable and tastefully done out which, together with a friendly rustic atmosphere, make it a pretty tempting place to linger. And of course, it is quite close to popular local walks on the Stiperstones and Earls Hill, including Route 4 in the Walking with Offa series. If one wonders where the face on the pub sign comes from, it is a caricature of a customer.
