Interesting friendly country pub in a small village. Three separate areas, with the bar in between the games area and the restaurant. The nearby church features a large Russian cross 'rescued' from Sebastopol during the Crimean War.

In June 2023 a community group confirmed that they had received the funding that had allowed them to bring the pub into community ownership. They re-open in May 2024, after considerable refurbishment. Three cask beers available from Theakston, Timothy Taylor, and Wensleydale breweries.
