Rivers Arms, Cheselbourne

Operator: Independent
Cheselbourne, Cheselbourne, DT2 7NW (View on Google Map)

Unspoilt inn on the outskirts of the village, believed to have been built to cater for drovers en route to Dorchester. It was threatened with change to residential use but, thanks to a successful local campaign, was saved and has been totally refurbished with a rustic theme. There is an upstairs room, conservatory area, large veranda and a stove in the bar. The pub serves real home-cooked food complimented by two changing real ales. Seven en-suite wooden cabins with valley views provide accommodation.
