A Grade 2 listed building believed to date from the 17th century but, which nevertheless has a datestone showing 1473. Unusually for this area the building has a thatched roof. The pub was closed for a while but reopened after a full refurbishment, including a new thatch. Inside customers will find a comfortable and cosy atmosphere that is smart and bright. The refurbishment has not detracted from the traditional feel of the pub.
