Totally refurbished and converted to cask in late 2011. Licensee and owner Paul Cochran, is keen on the LocAle scheme and has stocked Many local breweries regularly since re-opening. Parts of the building date from 1625, and the pub has seen many alterations over the years. Was the White Bear Commercial Hotel in the early part of 20th C. Friendly and welcoming local pub with four distinct drinking areas. Solid Fuel Stove in rear lounge. Information point on rear of bar for regional events. Four handpulls serving a rotating range of changing real ales, usually one dark ale, one bitter, one session pale ale and one IPA. Extensive food menu.
