17th century Coaching Inn with a stuffed bear in the cellar (A previous landlord kept a real one to control rowdy customers at closing time - That landlord was notorious and kept a riotous house, the haunt of highwaymen with cock fighting laid on).

Serves food till 8 all week (except Sunday), which can be enjoyed indoors or alfresco on the patio area.

Showcases local live music every Saturday evening.
