A friendly and traditional backstreet local consisting of several rooms which merge into each other. The front bar has a log burner. The games room at the back has a pool table and a stage that is used for music on Saturday evenings. There are also large TV screens showing sports making it quite a lively place. Outside there is a shaded courtyard area. Two real ales are served with a wide selection of craft keg beers are also available.
Historic Interest
Opened in 1862 as a fully licensed house. Bought by Stroud Brewery in 1884. Extended in 1892. Major refurbishment in May 2023.
