Reborn as a freehouse in June 2015 with the main rooms repainted to give a light and airy feel. A central counter serves a bar with sports TV on one side and a quieter seating on the other, which is where the hand pulled beer and cider is to be found. The friendly bar staff are happy to let you try before you buy on real ales and ciders. Outside is a terrace and garden overlooking the brook.
