Refurbished in 2018, the spacious lounge bar features modern leather sofas and tables, and the cosy rear room has a log-burning fire. At the front is a busy AA Rosette Award restaurant. The pub offers accommodation, and access to the car park is from the side, in Bliss Gate Road.
Details of seasonal events and occasional live bands are usually on Facebook. Two changing local real ales are on the bar.
