Historic freehouse dating from the 16th century and extended in the 19th century, it also had a malthouse and brewery until 1926. It offers a Thai menu with some pub classics, and is set out as a restaurant at the front with a warming log fire in winter. The mainly original rear lounge, with a view of the garden, is reserved for conversation. The delightful outside yard has bench tables and seating, and is adorned with pots, water features, interesting flowers and plants that are influenced and cared for by the chef. Parking is accessible from the street behind the pub.
